On 5/21/09 The Yonkers New York Fire Dept responded to 46-48 Caroline Ave for a reported building fire. A 3rd alarm was transmitted for the fire in a large 4 sty wdfrm duplex style dwelling. A Firefighter was seriously injured (non-life threatening) when he was struck by a piece off apparatus responding to the fire scene at Herriot and Broadway.Local articals reported that other FF's were transported to the Hospital after the fire. We were buffing New York City and decided to take this in from Manhattan. After a traffic filled 1 hr ride, we arrived and snapped some photos. All the heavy fire was k/d prior to our arrival.
